Truth and Reconciliation in Canada Truth and reconciliation in Canada is a crucial process aimed at addressing the historical injustices and ongoing impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples. Reconciliation involves acknowledging past wrongs, honoring Indigenous histories and cultures, and working towards equitable and respectful relationships.

It requires genuine commitment from all sectors of society, including governments, educational institutions, and individual citizens, to implement the TRC’s recommendations and support Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination.

I acknowledge that we are gathered on ancestral lands, Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

Acknowledging this truth is important yet only a small part in cultivating strong relationships with Indigenous communities.

How much do you charge?

My rates are priced at 135.00 per 50 minute session. To make these sessions even more accessible, I provide direct billing to Blue Cross and Green Shield. It’s always wise to check the specifics of your health plan before you begin these sessions, to ensure that you’re covered for counselling and psychotherapy.

Where are you located?
I am located in Winnipeg, MB in the St. James area
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all forms of payments, including debit, mastercard, visa, cash, cheque and e-transfer.
Do you have evenings and weekend appointments available?

Yes I do. I offer evening appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I also have a limited amount of appointments on Saturdays.

How long are the appointments?
Each session is 50 minutes, with 10 minutes that allows me to update case notes.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
You just need to bring yourself and an open mind! Everything that needs to be completed will be address in the consultation session over the phone.
How does online therapy work?
Online therapy is very similar to face-to-face counselling, as I will provide you with a secure link that we will video-connect through. If you’re interested in tele-counselling, I will call you at the appointed time. To ensure a safe and confidential environment, it is your responsibility to make sure you are in a secure space during our counselling session.
How long does therapy last?

Everyone’s journey is unique and based on their individual needs. I work with clients to determine the best course of action and, depending on their particular issues and goals, they might require one to two sessions or several months of therapy. Ultimately, my goal is to empower them with the necessary skills and resources to embark on their journey of self-improvement. My clients can benefit from a wide range of treatments that foster resilience, progress, and confidence.
